Mold
A Bait Natural base material.
This is
the Natural raw material to use in making your fish bait and
lures. It can be used to make your fish bait and lures with
or without adding colors or other items to your lures and baits.
With the simple addition of pure water in measured amounts and
cooking in a microwave for 30 seconds or so you can cast your
own custom baits and lures. Mold A Bait Natural has a
slight beefy kind of odor that will attract fish when they are
within range of the bait scent. With the use of our Mold A Bait
molds below, you can cast many designs for the type of fish
you want to catch, or you can cast it into a Mold A Bait
loaf mold (see below) and cut to size as you need it.
Comes packaged
with directions on how to mix and cast it in our molds. Nothing
could be as simple or as fun as making your own lures and baits.
This package makes a whole lot of bait and lures!
We will
be posting pictures and ideas on how to mold and use the Mold
A Bait in the Photo Gallery along with sending lots of
fun things to try in our Free
Email Newsletter
Not for
human consumption. Non Toxic.
Please
note: Mold A Bait needs to be kept in a cooler
after making as it will melt in hot temperatures. Can be frozen
after making for extended storage. Will keep in a refrigerator
for a few days between fishing trips. Mold A Bait can
also be dried after making and will resemble hard plastic but
will tend to warp as it dries. In some cases this has a desirable
affect for making lures.

# MAB-BASE-LIVER
8 OZ Pack $9.95
|
Mold
A Bait Liver Flavor base material.
This is
our Liver Flavor raw material. When you want to attract the
kind of fish that jump at liver type flavors, this is the best
bait for the job. Better than the old stink bait we used to
make up and much easier to work with. It is very strong and
will leave a scent trail in the water that catfish and other
types of fish will be attracted to in the worst of waters.
This Liver
Flavor Mold A Bait works identical to our Natural Flavor
above as far as molding and coloring. Works just as well using
small pieces loaded on a hook but will be more natural molded
into different forms if you are pulling it along the bottom
to create a living movement to attract the fish.
Working
with Mold A Bait is a dream compared to the average smelly
baits on the market, or even home made stink baits. Since it
is not all slimy and gooey, it works very well for handling
it and working with it. Beware though, it might chase your wife
out of the house when you mix it and heat it for molding :-)

# MAB-BASE-CORN
8 OZ Pack $9.95
|

Corn Flavor
Tadpole casting, natural with no color added.
Mold
A Bait Corn Flavor base material.
This is
our corn flavor formula that is perfect for trout fishing
or carp fishing. Many kinds of fish are attracted to grain
type baits, and our Corn Flavor is great as a molded bait.
Very small pieces can be cut from a cast loaf for putting
on trout hooks. As with our other Mold A Bait casting
base, you can make up to 2 pounds of bait, so it is very economical
to use.
Please
note that this bait has a natural yellow color so adding blue
or red coloring will in effect make greens and orange colors.
Please
note: Mold A Bait needs to be kept in a cooler
after making as it will melt in hot temperatures. Can be frozen
after making for extended storage. Will keep in a refrigerator
for a few days between fishing trips. Mold A Bait can
also be dried after making and will resemble hard plastic
but will tend to warp as it dries. In some cases this has
a desirable affect for making lures.

# MAB-BASE-WHEAT
8 OZ Pack $9.95
|

Wheat Flavor
Frog casting, with color added.
Mold
A Bait Wheat Flavor base material.
Our Wheat
flavor Mold A Bait base is more opaque than the Natural
making it look more like a solid living thing. The natural
wheat flavor that is put off by this bait in the water will
attract fish that like grain type foods. Catfish and many
others will be attracted to this bait too, so it can be used
as an alternative to the Corn Flavor bait we have when you
want to use a grain type base but want to make your colors
more vibrant and not be controlled by the yellow color of
the Corn Flavor bait.
Please
note: Mold A Bait needs to be kept in a cooler
after making as it will melt in hot temperatures. Can be frozen
after making for extended storage. Will keep in a refrigerator
for a few days between fishing trips. Mold A Bait can
also be dried after making and will resemble hard plastic
but will tend to warp as it dries. In some cases this has
a desirable affect for making lures.

# MAB-BASE-BLOOD
8 OZ Pack $9.95

Blood Bait
Worm casting with NO color added.
A new
addition to our family of Mold A Bait casting base products!
There
is no question that blood type baits are a great attraction
to fish. It has been an old standby for many years for serious
fisherman.
Now you
can mold our Blood Base into lures and loafs to your hearts
content. Our Blood Base is already naturally very dark red
in color, so it would not benefit to use colors in this bait,
but the natural coloration is perfect anyway as the blood
is slowly released along with our baits natural flavors, it
will be a sure attractant to your favorite fish. As with our
other Mold A Bait casting bases, the Blood Base forms
a rubber like casting that is great for emulating living baits.
Please
note: Mold A Bait needs to be kept in a cooler
after making as it will melt in hot temperatures. Can be frozen
after making for extended storage. Will keep in a refrigerator
for a few days between fishing trips. Mold A Bait can
also be dried after making and will resemble hard plastic
but will tend to warp as it dries. In some cases this has
a desirable affect for making lures.

A Bait Small Frog Lure Mold
There are
8 Small Frog Lure cavities on this mold so you can make 8 frogs
at a time.
Each
small frog is approximately 2&1/2" long from tip of
nose to end of rear flippers. And total width of frog at flippers
end of toes is 2" wide with the general body being an average
of about 3/4" wide and 3/8" inch thick.
The thin
feet sections of this frog are designed to be extra limber and
also shaped to make him (swim) in a more natural way. You can
cast hooks right into his belly or put a hook through him or
even design him so treble hooks hang down from his belly. You
can color him however you like and there are suggestions on
our web site for making multicolored lures.
Keep in
mind that this little fellow can also be cast with flavors to
bring the fish to him as well. Fish can sense flavors and scents
in the water far higher than we can. Frogs are a natural food
for some fishes, and with this one broadcasting where he is
and being very close to the real thing for being food, it is
the perfect lure! You might want to add a swivel to the cast
Small Frog Lure to let him swim without twisting your line up.
This
mold can also be used to cast silicone lures.

A Bait Flipper Lure Mold
There are
7 Flipper Lure cavities on this mold so you can make 7 parts
at a time. You can simply cast them and put them on your hook
when you are fishing, or you can mold your hooks right into
the Flipper Lure baits.
Each Flipper
Lure is made to be like a natural surface texture (not machine
perfect) and measures approximately 1&3/4" long by
1&1/4" wide by about 3/16" thick. Can also be
combined with a swivel to become a spinner type lure.
This
mold can also be used to cast silicone lures.

A Bait Wobble Swimmer Mold
There are
8 Wobble Swimmer cavities on this mold so you can make 8 parts
at a time. This one is a great mold for putting spots or stripes
in the mold with a small paint brush using a dark colored Mold
A Bait mix and let it jell before casting the body color.
Since Mold A Bait bonds perfectly to itself, the other
colors will be a part of the lure. You can also cut pieces out
of the lure or add other things like hairs or feathers to make
it even more attractive.
The Wobble
Swimmer Lure is about 2&1/8" long by 1&1/8"
wide by 1/8" thick. It has a natural formed surface and
being so thin will wobble in the water like a natural swimmer.
You can add small hooks to casting or hook it when you are ready
to fish. You can add more than one to a hook to create even
more options and movement.
This
mold can also be used to cast silicone lures.

A Bait Torpedo Striker Jitterbug Mold
This Torpedo
Striker Jitterbug mold has 7 cavities so you can make 7 parts
at a time. The Torpedo Striker Jitterbugs are approximately
2&1/8" long by 7/8" wide by 1/2" thick at
the largest dimensions. It has eyes molded into it but you can
also cut the nose off to create even more water action. Don't
forget, there is never any waste with Mold A Bait as you
can save all your cuttings and re-melt it again for use in more
fishing jigs.
This little
puppy is a fantastic jig makers dream. You can add colors and
spots or other things to this casting to your hearts content.
Since the Mold A Bait castings are more lifelike and taste
and feel like real food, this Jitterbug type bait is a sure
fire winner for catching those hard to catch fish. Since they
also have the added appeal of actually smelling and tasting
like real live bait, they will attract a lot more attention
than hard lures do.
It is very
easy to set up treble hooks and other hook attachments to hang
from the belly of this lure too. If it is bottom weighted with
hooks, it will tend to want to dive when you pull it in the
water due to it's shape. You can also add pieces of castings
of other colored Mold A Bait to this lure as you cast
it to create even more options. There is just no end to what
you might want to design with this mold as a basic building
block for your custom fishing lures.
This
mold can also be used to cast silicone lures.

A Bait Night Crawler Mold
The Night
Crawler mold has 6 cavities so you can make 6 worm lures at
a time. They are about 5&1/4" long by 1/2" wide
by 1/4" thick.
There just
isn't anything better than a real Night Crawler except Mold
A Bait. Since Mold A Bait can be colored any way
you like, and can attract fish for a much longer distance because
of leaving a trail of natural flavors and scents in the water,
along with natural movement and feel of live bait in the water,
it is ideal fishing material, especially when formed to look
like a real live Night Crawler.
When you
want to change the bait you are using to fish for small mouth
fish, simply cut the Mold A Bait worms into small pieces
and add them to your hooks, no need to carry all kinds of bait,
as just the one will do everything you want.
When you
get back from your fishing trip, simply store it away for future
making of new bait for the next fishing trip.
This
mold can also be used to cast silicone lures.

A Bait Crickets and Bugs Mold
The Crickets
and Bugs mold has 8 cricket type bugs and 8 small spinner type
cavities on the same mold sheet. That makes 16 small castings
you can do with one mold sheet.
Crickets
(bugs) are about 1&1/2" long by 3/4" wide at widest
part and about 1/4" thick. Very realistic for size and
bug look. The spinner type cavities are about 1&1/4"
long by 3/4" wide by about 1/8" thick.
Mixing all
Mold A Bait colors together make black, so you can easily
color the crickets to look very realistic. You can also color
them a shade of green or yellow or leave them the natural Mold
A Bait color to emulate different kinds of insects. You
can mold hooks right into them or push a hook through them as
you want. More than one can be put on a hook too depending on
how large of hook and the type of fish you are wanting to catch.
You can use the spinner type castings by themselves or in combo
with other molded parts as you want. Being creative with Mold
A Bait is a breeze when you have molds and unlimited amounts
of times you can re-melt it to try something new if it doesn't
turn out quite like you wanted it to do.
This
mold can also be used to cast silicone lures.

A Bait Twin Tail Grub Mold

7 Twin Tail Grub cavities on this mold sheet. You can make 7
Twin Tail Grubs at a time. The Twin Tail Grub fishing lure is
about 3" long by 1&3/4" wide at the tail by 1/4"
thick at the body.
The twin
tails on this grub cause it to (swim) in the water making for
a very fish attracting lure. You can mold your hooks right into
the molded bait, or hook them in the field, the choice is yours.
This Twin Tail Grub will work with any of our colors depending
on how you want to attract different fish. You can also add
spots to the lure in the mold with darker Mold A Bait
colors and let them set up before casting in the lighter colors
making for even more realistic lures and baits.

A Bait Fan Tail Lure Mold
There are
8 Fan Tail Lure Cavities in this mold sheet. You can make 8
Fan Tail Lures at a time. The approximate measurements of the
Fan Tail Lure are 2&1/8" long by 1&3/4" wide
at the tail by 1/4" thick at the head.
The tail
is thin and flexible and can be cut with scissors to make several
strands that can wave in the water if you want. This lure can
also be cast and then used to cast a tail into other Mold A
Bait lures as well. It is easy to combine more than one
cast part if you use a little planning and a little imagination
on what you want to try for a lure. If it doesn't work, just
re-melt them into more castings later.
This
mold can also be used to cast silicone lures.

A Bait Tadpole Lure Mold
There are
8 Tadpole Lure cavities in this mold sheet. You can make 8 Tadpole
Lures at a time. The tadpole has a curved tail so measurements
on this piece are taken from the length from nose to curve of
tail, not to end of tail. Approximate size is 2&1/2"
long by 3/4" wide at the body and about 3/8" thick.
The curved
tail causes this Tadpole Lure to swim in a more natural manner
as it is pulled along. Nothing is more natural bait in the water
than a tadpole, since they are indigenous to anyplace where
frogs exist, and fish know what a morsel they are to eat.
You can
color this tadpole lure to closely match the real thing very
easily with our Mold A Bait colors. Put hooks into them
and even legs and feet cut from other molds as you mold them
to create the perfect bait to catch that big fish!
This
mold can also be used to cast silicone lures.

Tail Swimmers at time. The Wide Tail Swimmer measures on the
average about 2&1/4" long by 1&3/4" wide at
end of tail and about 3/16" thick.
The design
of this lure is made to cause some pretty erratic swimming.
It can also be cut or feathered down the tail to further the
action on this lure. You can also use this lure in combination
with more than one piece, or add other pieces from your molded
parts to it so you can create an endless variety of baits and
lures of your own designs.

A Bait Dome Top Loaf Mold
This mold
is a 4 cavity mold with two of the cavities being about 2&3/8"
wide by 3&3/8" long by about 1" deep at top of
dome. The other two cavities are about 2&3/8" square
and about 1" deep at top of dome.
This is
a great way to store your extra Mold A Bait material after
you make it up, but it can also be used to create loafs to cut
slices from. You can pour in layers of different colors and
let them cool to room temperature and gel before adding the
next color. After you slice it, you will get something similar
to a bacon strip that can be used for fishing baits or as cut
parts to add to your other lures.

A Bait Coloring Kits
With only
3 colors you can create all of the colors on a color wheel, and many
more between as well as tints. Red, Blue, and Yellow, are the primary
colors that come in our color kits. Adding drops of yellow and blue
will yield varying shades of green depending on how many drops of
each are added to your melted Mold A Bait. If you were to put
all three colors together it would make the color black. Simply adding
drops of red to a green color will make it a darker green.

Mold A
Bait colors are environmentally safe and will not make your
molded baits toxic to wildlife.
The complete
coloring kits come packaged in minimum packaging to help the environment
and are also available as individual colors. Each bottle has a drop
dispensing tip so you can easily add the amount of color you want
to each batch of Mold A Bait you make. You can order the color
kits or individual colors from our Shopping section above. For shipping
purposes, we will ship our colors in zip lock bags for extra protection.
Please use these as storage for your Mold A Bait castings and
help us all by recycling.
Adding
color to your Mold A Bait castings makes them more attractive
to fish and you will find some colors will work better than others
depending on the type of fish you are fishing for. Starting off with
less drops of color per ounce of bait is the best practice. If you
want a deeper color, you can always re-melt the Mold A Bait
and add more drops of color to make it more intense.
A Mold
A Bait color kit will color quite a few pounds of bait, so it
is very economical to use. A very small amount will go a very long
way.
