The Impression Sheet Molds now available here are all in a similar format to the picture here on the left. Each order page for an Impression Sheet Mold design will only show the pattern or combination of patterns that will be on the sheet as a small section so you can see what the pattern will look like. The sheets are approximately 8.75" square and have four sections with patterns on them. Some of the sheets will have all four of the pattern sections the same, and some will have different patterns in each square. The squares with the patterns are approximately 3.75" square and can be used from either side. The patterns on either side of the sheets will of course be either a negative or positive impression. The sheets can also be used to put impressions on both sides of a clay piece by pressing the clay between two sheets, then cutting the clay out in the shape you want them to be. It's possible to make an impression in the clay with these sheets and bake the parts or cure them as directed for that type of clay, and then come back with another color of clay and fill in the impressions in the original piece and curing that piece out. Once that is done you can finish the parts as you want to make all kinds of jewelry or other items. These sheets are made with food grade PETG and can be used for making impressions in chocolate and other food items, but please keep in mind that no impression sheet should be used for both food and clay products. Clay products contain contaminates that may be very toxic, so make sure you keep food type molds separate and marked from those used with craft materials. |
