Make
your own concrete benches for your lawn, garden, or flower garden! Using
these molds you can make your own benches to fit any area. This set
of molds allows you to make from a 2 foot long bench up to as long as
desired. Since it is cast in sections and the main supports for the
bench seat parts is two one inch steel pipes, (purchased separately)
you can easily set this bench up where ever you want by yourself. The
legs are designed so you can cast a hole down through the center of
them to put rebar down into the ground for safety and support. The concrete
can also be cast with wire in the seat sections so that you can wire
the seat sections down if you have any concerns of someone walking off
with your bench or for additional safety.
The
molds can be cast with colored concrete or with white concrete mixed
with coloring for a marble look or with other coloring methods mixing
concrete colors into the molds as you want for unlimited affects. We
colored some of the concrete mix and put it in the molds before adding
the rest of the white concrete to get this "Texas Longhorn"
coloring affect we wanted for our Southwest location shown in the picture
above.
These
molds can also be used to cast just the seat sections for placing them
on other legs or supports such as concrete block, rock, or retainer
wall areas where you don't need the leg casting mold as provided. This
allows you to make stone seat sections for about any place you want
them. The set comes with general instructions for mixing concrete and
assembly. The legs requires at least two castings and you will need
to cast at least two ends and as many middle sections as you will need
for your total bench length. For safety, we don't
recommend making a bench longer than 6 feet without adding more legs
under the seat sections. The leg mold castings are designed to keep
adding legs as needed to support your bench.
